We, as followers of Jesus Christ and members of His Church,
united in confession and conviction, affirm and declare the following
concerning abortion in our nation.

Recognizing our shared accountability before God, our duty
to love our neighbours, and our calling to proclaim truth in every generation,
we together testify to these truths.

Article I — The Authority of Scripture

WE AFFIRM that the Holy Bible is the inspired,
inerrant, and sufficient Word of God and the final authority in all matters of
faith, doctrine, morality, and justice. Scripture governs not only private
belief but public life, not only personal salvation but cultural obedience.

WE AFFIRM that God’s Word speaks clearly regarding
the value of human life, the nature of justice, and the responsibilities of
both citizens and rulers.

WE DENY that abortion is a morally neutral matter to
be determined by cultural preference, political consensus, or personal
autonomy. We deny that Scripture is silent concerning the shedding of innocent
blood.

Article II — The Gospel of Jesus Christ

WE AFFIRM that the gospel is the good news that Jesus
Christ lived without sin, died for sinners, rose bodily from the grave, reigns
as Lord, and will return in glory. Salvation is by grace alone through faith
alone in Christ alone.

WE AFFIRM that abortion is not merely a social or
political issue but a manifestation of human sin, and that lasting justice and
renewal flow from reconciliation with God through Christ.

WE DENY that activism apart from the gospel can
produce true repentance or enduring cultural transformation. We deny that the
abolition of abortion can ultimately be secured apart from hearts turned toward
God.

Article III — The Image of God and the Sanctity of Life

WE AFFIRM that every human being, from conception to
natural death, is created in the image of God and possesses inherent dignity
and equal worth.

WE AFFIRM that preborn children are our neighbours
and are entitled to the same love, protection, and justice afforded to all
human beings.

WE DENY that size, location, development, dependency,
or circumstance determine personhood or moral value. We deny that preborn
children are lesser members of the human family.

Article IV — Marriage, Sexuality, and the Family

WE AFFIRM that God created humanity male and female
in His image and established marriage as the lifelong covenant union of one man
and one woman, joined as one flesh according to His design.

WE AFFIRM that sexual intimacy is a gift from
God to be expressed exclusively within marriage and rightly ordered toward
faithfulness, family formation, and the welcoming of children as blessings from
the Lord.

WE AFFIRM that the rejection of God’s design
for marriage and sexuality contributes to the breakdown of families and fosters
a culture in which children are increasingly viewed as burdens rather than
gifts, helping give rise to the acceptance of abortion.

WE DENY that sexual relationships outside
biblical marriage, or modern ideological redefinitions of sex, gender, or
marriage, accord with God’s created order or promote human flourishing.

Article V — The Nature of Abortion

WE AFFIRM that abortion is the intentional taking of
innocent human life and therefore constitutes grave moral evil.

WE AFFIRM that abortion represents an injustice that
demands repentance and restoration.

WE DENY that abortion may be justified by appeals to
autonomy, hardship, fear, or social pressure. We deny that abortion is
healthcare or a purely private decision beyond moral accountability.

Article VI — The Role of Civil Government

WE AFFIRM that civil authorities are established by
God to uphold justice, restrain evil, and protect the innocent.

WE AFFIRM that governments which permit or protect
abortion fail in this God-given responsibility and stand in rebellion against
His moral law.

WE AFFIRM that rulers and magistrates must repent of
laws that permit the shedding of innocent blood and establish equal protection
for preborn children.

WE DENY that civil authority is morally autonomous or
exempt from obedience to God.

Article VII — National and Individual Repentance

WE AFFIRM that both individuals and nations are
accountable before God for injustice.

WE AFFIRM that genuine repentance requires turning
away from practices and laws that permit the destruction of innocent life.

WE AFFIRM that repentance must bear visible fruit,
including the restoration of justice and the protection of the vulnerable.

WE DENY that cultural renewal can occur apart from
repentance. We deny that symbolic gestures or partial reforms satisfy the
demands of justice.

Article VIII — The Responsibility of the Church

WE AFFIRM that the Church of Jesus Christ must not
remain silent in the presence of injustice.

WE AFFIRM that pastors, elders, and believers are
called to proclaim the whole counsel of God, including the defense of innocent
human life.

WE AFFIRM that the Church is called to speak truth
with courage, extend mercy to the repentant, and labour faithfully for justice.

WE DENY that abortion will be ended primarily through
partisan politics, shifts in public opinion, or pragmatic cultural strategies.
We deny that silence in the face of injustice is neutrality.

Article IX — Means and Conduct

WE AFFIRM that the pursuit of justice must be carried
out lawfully, peacefully, prayerfully, and with compassion.

WE AFFIRM that forgiveness and restoration are
available through Christ to all who repent, including those who have
participated in abortion.

WE DENY that hatred, violence, or coercion reflect
the character of Christ or the mission of His Church.

Article X — The Consequences of Shedding Innocent Blood
on a Nation

WE AFFIRM that the shedding of innocent blood brings
guilt upon a people and invites the righteous judgment of God.

WE AFFIRM that a nation which permits the destruction
of its most vulnerable will experience moral confusion, the hardening of
hearts, and the erosion of justice and truth.

WE AFFIRM that the normalization of abortion sears
the conscience, distorts the value of human life, and weakens the foundations
of family, law, and culture.

WE DENY that a nation can long flourish while
permitting the systematic killing of the innocent. We deny that such injustice
can be contained without broader societal consequences.

WE DENY that indifference to the shedding of innocent
blood leaves a people morally unchanged or spiritually unharmed.
